About myself |
I was born on the 2nd July 1967 in Kharkov in Ukraine, which was the part of the Soviet Union at that time. I was taught chess by my mother at the age of five and three years later I went to my first chess club. From that time, for some years afterwards, my attitude to playing was not very serious and I was lucky to meet a number of chess friends of a similar age and played just for fun. All this changed when I met Alexander Vaisman, who has been my chess coach for many years. Thanks to him, I have become who I am. The following are key moments in my chess career:
I am married with two children (both daughters). Because I work actively as a coach now, I do not play in many tournaments, but I am a member of a few chess clubs. In Germany I play for Mülheim Nord; we achieved third place in the 2007/2008 1st Bundesliga. |
